Concrete Pool Construction

All A1 Pools are constructed of concrete and the advantage of using concrete to form the pool is that your pool can be any shape or depth, therefore built to fit any area. They can also be finished with a variety of surfaces enabling you to custom select the style that suits your needs. The pools walls are a minimum of 150mm thick and are also built with the added reinforcement of 12mm steel rods. Because of the strength, the finished shell can be left empty which is often an advantage when the pool is being built on the site before any other construction.

The standard finish is white plaster with a row of tiles around the waterline although many other style and finish options are available. Common alternatives include the use of render and paint, fully tiled or glass pebbles. Pebbled pools are growing in popularity and although it does cost more than a standard white plaster pool, it has proven to be a highly durable non-slip surface. A pebbled pool also gives you a wide choice of colour and style with the added advantage that the darker the choice of pebbles or stones the warmer the pool becomes.

The estimated time to complete a pool is approximately six weeks from the first day of construction.
